Way back in November 2013, Marvel and Netflix announced that they were teaming up to produce four new superhero shows, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. At the time, the plan was for all four superheroes to come together and form The Defenders in a Netflix miniseries. While the streaming service hasn't announced a debut date for The Defenders yet, Independent.co.uk reports that the miniseries will start shooting at the end of this year.​
